Date
Locates the planets within the tropical zodiac.
THE CHART'S LOCAL HORIZON
Houses divide the local sky into twelve areas of experience. Unlike a planet's tropical sign, a house placement depends on the birth moment, coordinates, and a selected house system.
THREE PIECES OF LOCAL CONTEXT
Date alone cannot reconstruct the sky's orientation for a birthplace. These inputs work together.
Locates the planets within the tropical zodiac.
Sets the rotating angles and time-dependent cusps.
Provides latitude, longitude, and historical timezone.
Defines the method used to divide the local sky.
TWELVE AREAS OF EXPERIENCE
A planet in a house describes where that planet's function tends to become concrete. The house does not replace the planet or its sign.
Embodied presence, first approach, personal agency, appearance, and the way a person meets immediate life.
Money, possessions, personal resources, self-support, priorities, and what is treated as worth preserving.
Everyday learning, speech, writing, siblings, short journeys, and the immediate information environment.
Private foundations, home, family history, belonging, ancestry, and the inner base beneath public life.
Creative expression, pleasure, romance, play, risk, performance, and relationships with children.
Daily work, skills, service, maintenance, routines, health habits, and attention to practical systems.
One-to-one partnership, contracts, collaboration, open conflict, and the qualities encountered through others.
Shared resources, debt, inheritance, trust, intimacy, vulnerability, loss, and psychologically consequential change.
Higher learning, worldview, publishing, law, religion, long journeys, and experiences that widen perspective.
Career, public contribution, reputation, authority, responsibility, and the direction of visible achievement.
Friendship, communities, networks, collective causes, audiences, hopes, and participation in a larger future.
Solitude, restoration, hidden processes, endings, surrender, and material that works outside ordinary awareness.
HOUSE SYSTEMS IN SELYUNE
Selyune stores the house system with every calculation. A result never silently mixes methods.
Ascendant, Descendant, Midheaven, and IC are derived from the instant and coordinates.
The default system divides the diurnal motion using astronomical semi-arc geometry.
Where Placidus cusps are undefined or unreliable, Selyune uses Whole Sign houses and records a warning.
Planetary longitudes are assigned to the calculated cusps or to Whole Sign houses when that system applies.
TIME-SENSITIVE BY DESIGN
A few minutes can move an angle or cusp. Selyune preserves the stated time accuracy instead of presenting every chart as equally exact.
ADD THE LOCAL SKY
If you do not know the time, you can still calculate a limited chart and add it later.
